Mystery Melon Empty Mystery Melon

In our asparagus box crazy amounts of melon plants sprung up from the compost. This one formed and I have no idea what it is. Can anybody help?

I've got some cantaloupe that look a lot like that, too, so that's my guess as well. Of course, from seed, it could be a hybrid. If it's really tasty, save some seed, you might develop a new variety!
