I'm saving the little Activia yogurt containers cause they look like the pony pack containers from the nurseries ! so what does'nt get direct seeded in my garden I will try to transplant from seed grown in these little guys, from my greenhouse, that's the plan anyway.
An unlikely place to find gardening supplies was Winco Foods , while grocery shopping the other day I discovered they sell the trays for .49 and the tray and peat pots together for $1.07. That is cheaper than I have sen at the nurseries. I just bought the trays to accomodate the yogurt cups so I can water from below.
I don't know, I was sort of questioning the peat pots , although it is good to just put the whole thing in the ground, I'm afraid of maybe mold growing on them if they get too wet or something.
What kind of containers do you use ?

I have quite a few minipacks that I saved from all the flowers I planted this year, so a lot of seedlings will be started in those.

I'm also saving egg cartons -- the fibre ones can be cut apart and planted carton and all, and the plastic ones are flexible enough to just pop out each "pod" to be planted. (No styrofoam egg cartons here)
