hi from Georgia!
hi everyone ( some of you i recognize from other boards!)
My partner and I live on 10 acres in lower ga ( Marion County) . We had a huge 80x50 garden this summer but we went away and the petsitter did not water so it died.
I'm now lining my walkway with SF garden boxes we're constructing from my horses old run.
We also have 6 dogs- in order of age- Crystal the lab, Nicodeamus the dane/dobie mix, Hailey the Pitbull, BeBe the Pitbull , Capone the Pitbull and Emmet the Boston Terrier. We had an outside cat as well but something got him
Our goals are simple ... to gradually reduce the amount of food we buy in stores and replace it with 'real' food.

Hello from South Carolina!
Welcome to the forum! You're doing what DH and I decided to do this year: become better acquainted with the produce we consume and rely a little less on buying it! Organic and local -- those are our goals.
We have five quadrupeds of the canine persuasion at the moment: three of our own, one rescue, and a friend's doggie who is visiting for the summer. Then there are the four cats, three of which are on constant wabbit patwol in the garden (the fourth is 18 years old and lives mostly indoors these days).
We'll have to trade stories about gardening in the deep South!
