Thank you, Lord, it rained!!!
We've had NO rain since one small rain shower in mid-May, and nothing before that since April. Last night the heavens opened up and poured. We got at least two inches.
Thank you, Lord!!!
Okay, little garden, now get up and grow.
(Would you believe I actually heard someone complaining this morning because the rain knocked their satellite out and they couldn't see their favorite TV program last night? If I was a violent person I think I could have knocked them silly.)
Thank you, Lord!!!

Rain
When it first started raining I had to go outside and just stand in it, laughing like a little kid. I seemed to hear the entire yard and garden laughing along with me. My hair was soaked, but I didn't care. (This morning my hair was so soft. I forgot what rinsing with rain water does for hair.)
May you all get the rain you need.

I felt the same way last week when it started raining here -- none since late April, and May and June were much hotter than usual. In the past week and a half, we've had several nice showers and lots of cloudy days. And the garden is going crazy -- everything is blooming again.

ander - we had nearly 7" in June. But we've been dry for nearly 2 weeks. and we got a good rain yesterday, too! I got spolied there for a while. Then Thursday night my rain barrel was nearly empty. It's over half full now!
