"Squashed worms?"
Bummer. I'm guessing you turned them into "squashed bugs".
You have pretty lettuce. What kind is it?
I just discovered that our resident rabbit ate two carrots and two basil plants in my garden. (Tell me why, one more time, I buy dog food???)

Re: squashed worms
You guessed right! I hate killing things but when it comes down to my hard spent efforts (you know what I'm talking about) it's me or them. That freckled one is part of a lettuce mix - so I don't know. It was the only one i got this time around. The one to the left is romaine lil' gems.
I'm bummed about my cucumbers they are not taking off they are still only 3"-4" tall. Somethings not right - the leaves are starting to dull in color too. I'm a newbie so I'm still figuring things out.
Cheers,
Maya Papaya
