SFG Merchandise Available now
All right, we are getting started on our merchandise. We now have hoodies, shirts, bags, polos and caps available. The clothing is available in small, medium, large and extra large. We have green and cream available although we don't yet have pictures for it. Here is the link

We will be adding more products soon.
Remember, all proceeds benefit the foundation and our efforts!

An idea for SFG merchandise
I have an idea for special SFG Potato Boxes...............
okay - out in crazy gadget-land there are cups (for travel, camping) that collapse. I've also seen dog dishes that do the same thing.
Welllllll......how 'bout potato beds that do that? Okay - I admit that I feel a little silly mentioning this as I have never grown potatoes, but in reading the comments and seeing photos, everyone is looking ofr a way to make their bed deeper.
Maybe a standard 6" bed, with 2 or so levels of 4" sides that pull up and lock in to place?
Anyway - it's just a thought.
Thank you for providing such an informational forum for experienced AND new gardeners - I'm hooked.

Re: SFG Merchandise Available now
The shipping for one hat mailed "standard" USPS to WV is 19.85 -- as much as the hat itself! Surely that cannot be correct??? How can it cost that much to package and mail a lightweight hat?
Sorry for the whining, but I thought maybe the shopping cart software might be over-calculating the shipping.

Re: SFG Merchandise Available now
I'm with you Patti. I was about to buy a polo shirt ($19.99) then found out that shipping via USPS Parcel Post was $14.09! That's an additional 70%! The post office have these boxes for priority mail and as long as it fits in the box the price is the same regardless of the weight - which for a shirt can't be that much. I don't understand these shipping cost at all but I'm guessing it will certainly hurt the sale of merchandise.

I've done some tweaking. Let me know if that works any better. Alan

I tried for the hat again. For my zip code the Parcel shipping is $15.37 and Priority is $19.85. That's still 76% and 99% of the original price.

Re: SFG Merchandise Available now
Okay. Once I cleared the cookies for that site (using Firefox 3.6+) the shipping came up as $4.00. If I order a T-shirt with that, the shipping is $6.50. That's much more like it!!
BTW, on the main merchandise page the T-shirt is $19.99 and on the T-shirt page it's $12.99. You might want to check that out.

Re: SFG Merchandies available now
I love it!!!
How about a "garden bag" (like a tool bag) that would have compartments and hold things like my water meter, small trowel, twist ties, clippers, etc.
Right now I use an old bucket - but I'm sure lots of us would love to have an official SFG bag for our stuff.

Sorry about the brainfart on the t-shirts. That's been corrected. They are $12.99. I am glad the shipping is working now. Alanpattipan wrote:Okay. Thank you for being so quick to fix things. I have placed my order without a hitch. DH is getting that cap for Father's Day!

Re: SFG Merchandise Available now
I just checked several items and the shipping charges do indeed seem to be corrected. Thanks for taking care of this! I'll be placing an order soon!
