Sluggo Plus
For those who have been wanting to get Sluggo Plus for slug, snail & pill bug control, but have not been able to find it in local stores, I have found an on-line store that has it available in both the 1# and 2.5# shaker bottles. They not only have it available at a good price, but they have free shipping on it.

Re: Sluggo Plus
I bought one. They indicated there were only 2 left before I bought it. I "resumed shopping" and it showed 1 left in the size I bought.

Must be selling fast. I bought one of the 2.5# bottles yesterday, and there was no mention of being low in stock at that time.

slugs
I've used sluggo before too. I try to use beer traps because I worry about the birds eating slugs that have consumed the sluggo

Fortunately, Sluggo and Sluggo Plus are non toxic to beneficial insects or any animal. Sluggo is just Iron Phosphate, and Sluggo Plus adds Spinosad. Iron phosphate that is not consumed by snails and slugs will become part of the soil and eventually recycled and used as nutrients by plants and soil microorganisms. Spinosad is a natural soil bacteria that is toxic to insects, but harmless to animals - since Sluggo Plus is a pelleted and applied to the soil, it only affects soil-feeding insects.

Re: Sluggo Plus
It's looking like Sluggo Plus is hard to find. Maybe order directly from Monterey.
Pricely but worth having it on hand if they ship quickly.

Unfortunately, even Monterey is showing out of stock on several sizes, including the 2.5# bottle.

And, because you posted, now they are out of stock...

Leonard Bio-Target Insect Slug and Snail
While browsing through the A.M. Leonard catalog I discovered that they have a product which is the same ingredients & description as Sluggo Plus, and is available in 5# and 20# packages -- 5# cost less than 2.5# of Sluggo Plus. The unfortunate thing is that they can only ship to a few states. Hopefully that will change in the near future. Fortunately for me, Leonard's is within driving distance to pick things up.
Product Description:
Leonard Bio-Target Insect, Slug & Snail kills the pesky bugs in your garden, lawn, landscape, and greenhouse. The natural active ingredients, iron Phosphate and Spinosad, provide a two-step control for earwigs, cutworms, snails, slugs, ants, and more. Bio-Target comes in an easy to apply granular form.

Re: Sluggo Plus
Thanks OhioGardener! This is a valuable resource! Sluggo Plus has been hard to come by and it's expensive! Nice to see that there are other options.

Re: Sluggo Plus
For those interested, Grow It Naturally has the 2.5# containers of Sluggo Plus back in stock with free shipping. It will sell out fast, though, so order as soon as you can.
