Hello! We are new to gardening and to SFG. We are a young family, located in Central Oregon, and are really going to rely on our vegetable garden for foods this fall and into winter. This is my "intro". Now I need to find the place to post my question(s). Joining Icon_biggrin

glad you\'re here to the forum. A lot of questions are posted in the general forum to help get you started. For more specific questions about weather, etc the best place to post would be in a regional forum. 'Central Oregon' leaves me wondering if you're on the dry side or the wet side! If you're on the wet side go here:
https://squarefoot.forumotion.com/pacific-northwest-f15/

If you're on the dry side go here:
https://squarefoot.forumotion.com/western-mountains-high-plains-f16/

There's still time to get some crops in the ground for winter storage in the wet side.

Happy gardening

Howdy Sistersfam:

Welcome to the SFG forum. In the battle to defeat "big oil" and become more self-sufficient each of us can grow at least part of our food supply. That is one way to, as Mrs. President Obama says, "Get to know your farmer".

God Bless, Ward and Mary.
