Nice!!
I want one!! I was able to pick up some free, unused lights (similar to yours) and have been wanting to build them into an adjustable grow light system kind of like this... now I just need to find plans that I can work with. I'm old school... I can use a hammer, hand saw and a screw driver... but I can't seem to get the hang of a drill or electric saw... ummmmm... how girly is that?

It's a thing of beauty, Rob. Maybe you could come to a compromise with your cat if you grew some catnip for it!
Re: Check out what I built today!
WOW, that is awesome. I am just still proud of my wood SFG box. As far as seedling I am using a handy dandy window. Of course, all my plants fall over after a couple of weeks. Poor little fellows.

Everybody makes it sound so easy, don't they? I'm with you, my seedling beds are a sad sight to behold after a few weeks.
Re: Check out what I built today!
Wow that is an amazing setup. My grow lights are adjustable and much more rudimentary, however maybe that will work for you Jenn (jinx). I will post some pics at the end of the weekend.

Re: Check out what I built today!
Thank you all for the encouragement! This is my first year doing this and I am trying my butt off to learn and try new things. If anyone wants my measurements or needs me to draw up plans for those lights, just let me know and I would be glad to oblige.
Re: Check out what I built today!
I'd love to see some measurements for this. I was thinking about buying one here shortly but maybe I will just build one instead.

LOL! I should start a business I will try to get the measurements up in the next couple of days.
Re: Check out what I built today!
Awesome! I built a seed starting station with grow lights. 2 levels, but I've been manually adjusting the chains. I'm going to copy you a bit. Maybe modify it a little. Thanks!

Grow lights and other contraptions. I am sure the minute I start using a grow light the local utility will report my "extra" consumption and the FBI will be knocking on my door.
I don't use anything. as soon as they come up I remove the cover from the little mini greenhouse and put them outside. I'm about ready to transplant my peppers, eggplant, roma tomatoes, leaf lettuce and oregano.
