Hi from an SFG beginner from Nashville, TN
I'm excited to have found this forum, and looking forward to learning tips and tricks along the way!
I have taken the SFG courses, and now ready to start my first few boxes. The hardest thing I'm finding right now is how to get my hands on course vermiculite! So that's going to be my first forum search.
Glad to be here.

Welcome to the forums from SW Ohio! Finding adequate quantities of coarse vermiculite is always a challenge, but don't give in to the temptation of using fine or medium vermiculite as the the results will be less than desirable.
One source of coarse vermiculite is A.M. Leonard company, but it is usually best until they have one of their free shipping sales.

Welcome! I lived in Nashville in the mid-late 80s. Worked at Vandy! I’m glad you found us!
I had my neighborhood garden store order me some coarse vermiculite, and I got it once from Amazon! It’s very light weight. But bulky!
What part of Nashvegas are you in? My oldest son lives there now.

Hi alyvois. Welcome from Atlanta, GA! Glad you've joined us.
I THINK I'm your regional host.... Zone 7 SE?
We're in & out of Murfreesboro a couple of times a year between our business & visiting family in Jackson. Beautiful area.
Pictures are always helpful... I'm looking to see how your garden develops. :-)

Yep! I’m in zone 7a. I just set up my compost tumbler and currently drying out some grass clippings. Trying to get my hands on some dried leaves so I can make a start on the compost. I guess the alternative is newspaper.

Awesome! That's a great start! Don't forget your veggie/fruit leftovers as well....
There's some really good composting posts in the archives.
