Jubilee Watermelon
Hello,
I have a question to ask. Have any of you all have planted Jubilee Watermelons growing vertical? Do you think they are too heavy to grow vertical? I know Mel said you can grow melon vertical, but exactly which type can you grow.
If you have had experience growing Jubilee watermelon please let me know how you did it.
I hope I am posting this messege in the right place.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Jubilee Watermelon
well, see, this is where you get to have a little fun. Watermelon on its own (I am not specifically familiar with the Jubilee variety) are too heavy. But then you get to do fun things like making slings for them - sometimes with nylons. (giggle giggle)
I did look up the Jubilee and its average weight seems to be around 35 pounds. I don't know what Mel recommends as the maximum weight.
Of course I can't look it up in my book, because I lent it to someone who "always returns books."
