Podocarpus seeds in compost
I wish I could find my first post, but it must have been under a different thread.
Here's an image of how the mainly podocarpus compost came out after months of slow composting in a barrel, drying, and then chopping in leaf shredder:
I'm now using it as the "mostly-nitrogen" component in a small compost pile I've just started.
So, for anyone else out there with one of these trees from the time of the dinosaurs, there is hope for the masses of ball bearings they pelt you with.

Hey there, small, hot and composty (forumotion.com)
Ah, too many projects at once. Typical. But that tells me that it pretty much had a year to itself. This memory thing is awful -- I had already forgotten about heating starter trays with compost, which is something I could actually use right now.
Thanks!
