Sweet Peas
Howdy, last year, my sweet peas were very dense and did not produce flowers. I planted them from seed in my greenhouse. Why didn't they flower?

Too much nitrogen in the soil will cause that. If the soil is rich in nitrogen, the peas will grow very lush vines and leaves, but no flowers. They need phosphorus to bloom, but too much nitrogen will inhibit plant's absorption of phosphorus. Have you tested the soil to determine the various levels?

Re: Sweet Peas
Hmm. I will check the soil for nitrogen before planting this year. Thank you!
