Greetings from Connecticut!!
Hello everyone. I am grateful to have found you all and look forward to being a part of the SFG fam I guess you could say I am a beginner gardener. I spent many years living with a grandfather figure who loved to garden but didnt participate much. He has since past and my husband and have since removed his large, unruly, space consuming beds. They were the reason I never jumped on the garden wagon. Always wanted too but was overwhelmed with the work involved and working a full time job and kids, grandkids and dogs just didn't feel like I could give the attention it deserved. Anyway after a few years of contemplating we attempted a small start three years ago in our soil, although some things grew it was overall a failure as our soil is horrible, trying again last year in beds with mix of our soil and truckload of purchased leaf/soil garden compost we had better success but lost alot to garden enemies and the weeds were constant. Gearing up this year I found SFG and MM. I know it is late to start but we are almost ready to plant. I have made a garden design and beds are built. SO we are slowly but surely gonna give this a try. Wish me Luck. I look forward to hearing all your excellent advice as I have many questions. Happy gardening everyone, may your crops be plentiful!

Welcome, CJB, and your questions are welcome, too. This is my 3rd year and I'm still making mistakes and asking questions.
