Greetings from the UK
Thanks for adding me , and thanks for the welcome via pm . I'm in the UK , Cheshire north west .
I'm a Gardener by trade since 1991 , but only started growing veg 2 years ago .
My plot is small in my garden which has a koi pond , lawn and decking area , not a big Garden .
I have a cheap 4 x 4 green house , and 15 x 8 feet for square foot gardening , less the pathway I've put in , will post pics up soon and show you peeps where i'm at and share the season with you .
Thanks
Mel

Mel, welcome from Ohio in the U.S.! I spent a couple years stationed near Oxford, and toured the Liverpool area many times - that area reminded me of the U.S. Midwest where I was from.
Looking forward to seeing the pictures of your gardens. There is a wealth of information available here on the forum, so don't hesitate to use the Search tool to find archived knowledge.

Re: Greetings from the UK
Hello Mel,
Welcome to the site , I'm a hundred or so mile south of you just off the west end of the M4 , to the north north east of it between Penygroes & Llandybie , been doing ANSFG ( all new square foot gardening ) for a fair while ( since I joined the site ) But had actually been doing it unknowingly in Mel's original form of square foot gardening for almost 30 years .
I migrated to the soil less mode that Mel came up with in 2010 just after we moved houses & find it far superior to his original method that combined MM with mother earth .
Welcome to the site . Do you make your own home made composts yet?
Some of the things we do turn old fashioned gardening on its head..
All my 36 inch high raised brick built beds ( about 220 sq ft ) are filled with the thing referred to as " Mel's Mix" to a depth of about two feet . It took me a while but the effort is well worth it .
In the gallery area of the site are some of our crops the 42 inch runner bean was delicious , not even a hint of being stringy .
As a result I grow some amazing crops the like of which I've rarely ever had in 51 years of gardening as an adult using manured or enhanced mother natures soil .
In my strap line are details of the book we use to guide us , so we can all sing off the same hymn sheet .
There is a third edition available .
I'm not on site so often these days now my beds are well established and easy to work , if you need get hold of me to drop me a PM , it comes up in my emails

PS
" Composting 101" is a thread title in our site that you may find very useful .
