Sho nuff... . Those were Yellow Beefsteak. I toasted two slices of honey wheat bread and added a thick slice of tomato, some lettuce, a big slice of Texas Sweet Onion, added some fresh sliced cucumber and bell peppers, a dash of salt and fresh cracked pepper, threw on some Mayo and opened a cold bottle of Bud Light Lime....bluelacedredhead wrote:Big with Huge Flavour I bet!
and the rest is history. If I'm lucky, today will be a replay of yesterday.

You should have maters by now shouldn't you? I just took most of my mater plants out this morning. They had turned brown. I'm getting ready for fall.Scorpio Rising wrote:Sounds heavenly! I saw some color in my maters yesterday as I was making some adjustments in the trellises. Hope!!!!

Re: I see a big samich.
I got a late start! I did pull 4 big red maters today, and guess what was supper? BLTs! And corn on the cob from Suter’s (red barn seasonal). Amazing, makes it all worthwhile. Nothing like it. Made a trip to Krogers to get lettuce! Lol!MrBooker wrote:You should have maters by now shouldn't you? I just took most of my mater plants out this morning. They had turned brown.
