Re: How's the Weather Where You're At?
89F so far. Probably hotter later. Hope the cold-weather crops I planted hang in there. In two more days the weather switches again and the rains come.

Ours is gonna change too, but we aren't getting any rain. We are getting wind however, so PG&E is threatening to turn off our power, again. I thought our wonderful new governor was gonna put the quietus on that crap, but I guess not.@markqz wrote:89F so far. Probably hotter later. Hope the cold-weather crops I planted hang in there. Warmed up. 60*F for high today 47*F for low. Tomorrow high of 63*F. Maybe my Broccoli will have time to mature. Have about 23 heads sitting on now at all stages of development.

Re: How's the Weather Where You're At?
One more week of "good" weather, then the rains come, so I need to finish raking leaves in the next week. PG&E gonna turn off our power, tomorrow. GRRRRR!
At least they gave us a credit for last time, so our electric bill was only $17+ for last month, but I think that was a one-time deal. IMHO, they should have to do that every time.

Re: How's the Weather Where You're At?
Finally getting out of the major cold snap!
I'm waiting for words to gradually come that there was another California power company corruption scandal.

Meanwhile, we out West are getting much colder.

Rain for us. We don't do well with snow.@donnainzone5 wrote:Meanwhile, we out West are getting much colder.

Re: How's the Weather Where You're At?
Freezing temps, rain and snow in the 10-day!
2 more nice days, first, so I will be playing outside while I still can.

Re: How's the Weather Where You're At?
Rain, snow, wind, and cold for 8 of the next 10 days. In other words, time to play in the house for awhile.
Gotta find room for the cilantro and stevia.

Re: How's the Weather Where You're At?
A balmy 7 Celsius (45 F) here today. Think I'll go outside and watch Mrs TD put up the Christmas lights and decorations

Re: How's the Weather Where You're At?
Winter storm warning is in effect for Central Oregon, with approximately 8" forecast between today and Thanksgiving. NOAA forecasts winds of up to a steady 30 mph part of that time, which nearly meets blizzard criteria. There also will be single-digit temps.
Re: How's the Weather Where You're At?
Snowing here, too -- sloppy, slushy stuff, but the temperature is dropping, so it may turn "real."@donnainzone5 wrote:Winter storm warning is in effect for Central Oregon, with approximately 8" forecast between today and Thanksgiving. Here we go, already. This wasn't supposed to happen for another 3 hours.@countrynaturals wrote:Snowing here, too -- sloppy, slushy stuff, but the temperature is dropping, so it may turn "real."@donnainzone5 wrote:Winter storm warning is in effect for Central Oregon, with approximately 8" forecast between today and Thanksgiving. Re: How's the Weather Where You're At?
By 9pm, we had about 3". It was absolutely gorgeous. Then it turned to rain. Now it looks about like this pic, again. It's only gonna get up to 47 today, with more rain this afternoon, so this could all be gone, today.@countrynaturals wrote:Here we go, already. Re: How's the Weather Where You're At?
Ain't it the truth! Unless it's flooding, we can never complain about rain.@sanderson wrote:SoCal got rain a few days ago. Now, NoCal is getting rain, or snow where it's cold enough. It's been 6 months since the last rain, for me.

Re: How's the Weather Where You're At?
Hehe, it looked like that some days ago. And today, got a surprise T-storm! LOL!

But, we didn't get 3-inches, didn't even look like 1-inch.

Yesterday it got up to 71 here. This morning it was 59 at 6 am. WE'RE supposed to have nice weather all week - Highs ranging from 44 - low 60's.
My mom (80 miles straight north) has a 40% chance of getting snow tonight & tomorrow morning.

Re: How's the Weather Where You're At?
Our rain year starts Oct 1 and ends Sept 30. Fresno receives an average of 11" or so, mainly in the winter and spring. The Thanksgiving week +/-storms have provided 2.3", a 5th of the annual rain.

Re: How's the Weather Where You're At?
We have the most boring pattern: Cloudy, rainish, but no real rain...and cold cold with wind

Re: How's the Weather Where You're At?
Yesterday morning woke up to about three inches of snow, worked for about 45 minutes to clear it so that I could wheel my garbage bin down to the roadside, by late afternoon everything had disappeared except the snow still on the grass.
Forecast is a week of temps just above and below freezing, rain/snow showers and overcast skies. Yuckie.
During the winter I like some snow, the temps to remain just below freezing so that it does not melt and then freeze. Otherwise I would need to get out my skateboard protection.

Re: How's the Weather Where You're At?
Minor yukkies here, too -- just enough rain to keep me in the house and no sun for my indoor garden. I had to add 2 more grow lights to keep the inside plants from croaking.
