Even though you cut down a lot in the number of beds, you still have a lot going on there.

Hi Mr. Booker. Your garden looks great. What a score on the pots. Oh, I may change the title of this post. I haven't checked if you have started a Mr. Bookers's 2018 garden. New title or merge if you have a 2018 thread going.

I completely agree, you certainly seem to be on top of everything, Mr. B.  I like your compost set-up, it looks smart, and the two dividing panels being lower than the two outside panels must make it easier to shift one pile to the next compartment. After all, how many compost piles get filled to the brim?

Just seen Atlanta Marie's post; just stop drooling Marie, (like me) and get on with emulating Mr. B.  I bet your garden is fine, just only room for one top dog.  Very Happy

LOL! Yes, ma'am.... Hoping to get out later this afternoon. Thankfully the days are getting longer, so I can hopefully get outside stuff done. Like maybe get the greenhouse (FINALLY) finished. Or fix the shed roof. Or reclaim the garden from the neighbor's tree... :-)

One 4' x 8' bed has 9 Bell peppers and 4 tomatoes and the other bed is actually a 4' x 10' and has 3 Early Girl tomatoes on the North end of it and the rest of it is our a salad bed.

When the salad bed quits producing I will plant a fall crop of carrots and turnips in it. I remember a few winters ago when I planted fall carrots. I let a few light frosts hit them then covered them with about a foot of shredded leaves and put plastic over the hoops and I was still eating carrots in January when the temp was WAY below freezing.

I read somewhere that if you let a light frost hit the carrots, it will trigger them to turn the starch into sugar because the sugar will not freeze as quickly as starch. Those carrots are pretty smart huh?  ONIONS - Mr. Booker's Garden -2018 370856013  Beets and turnips will do the same thing.   (Sorry about dropping the "F" bomb [FROST] on the forum.)

Brussels sprouts also taste better after a frost. I expect it would also apply to other root plants  such as parsnips as well as carrots.

I got tired of the unsightly tomato steaks holding down my cages so I bought some Nylon chord and tied up my Tomatoes and pepper cages.
ONIONS - Mr. Booker's Garden -2018 Cage_s10

My wife came up with the Idea of buying 8 more of the plastic half barrels so we can get rid of the plastic totes. We will reuse the soil from the totes, along with some homemade compost and plant the half barrels in the fall.

Clever idea for securing the tomato cages. Your garden is looking good, kind of decorative with the barrels and large pots sitting in the framed beds.

Yes'em.  I love setting in the garden about 5:00 a.m just when it starts to get daylight. I few mornings ago, about dawn, I was standing in the garden and a red fox came trotting by. I said, "Good morning Mr. Fox" and he stopped and stared at me then just trotted off into the morning fog.
We live in a small farming town and have often seen fox and Coyote's in the yard. They don't seem to bother anything like digging holes in the garden and I don't mind them at all.

We have made a few more additions to the garden lately......  I'll post more pics later.  So far this year, it looks like I'll have one of the best gardens I've had in a long time. Knock on wood.. I know how fast things can change.
