Mid-South: September 2017
Good morning! Like many in the mid-south, we're waking up to fog & rain on this 1st day of September. Leftovers from Harvey. Harvey looks to be pretty well centered over Nashville, TN at the moment, but is going to head towards the NE.
Irma? Who knows? I've looked at the European models & they're all over the place. So I'm going to ignore her for now, lol!
Can't get out in the garden the next couple of days, but we are certainly enjoying the drop in temps. Hints of things to come...? And if those temps stay, it will make for some nice gardening time once the rain leaves!
So what will we be able to do? I went to my favorite again - Gardenate.com. They seem to have the best information... Thanks for turning me on to them, Sanderson!

Beetroot (also Beets) Sow seed

Re: Mid-South: September 2017
Interesting that it says to sow spinach and cabbage seeds. I did so mid to end-Aug and haven't seen hide nor hair of any yet. But the lettuces, broccoli raab and mustard spinach have all sprouted. Guess I should toss in some collard and pak choi seeds under the netting asap. Thanks for the reminder!

Lol! Glad to help!
Our weather guys are saying that we'll have nighttime temps in the 50's next week... And high's in the 70's. Not going to turn THAT down!
