Supposed to be 116 here today, so I'm a bit preoccupied with this topic. 
Every day I look out the window and see various hens cooling off in the water bowl. Always good for a smile.

Squash bees are solitary, so it's friendly competition. It was early evening, so these are probably males - the females have nest burrows to tend/reside in. I'm still looking for my way, but not feeling the love since we haven't had enough heat to try to beat yet.

This one's easy. Here's our new pool. Can't wait to get back to it -- hopefully today. 
That's an innovative shade-maker in the pool, since we have no shade at all. It's just a regular canopy, resting on 4 inflated "donuts."

Pooled water in one of my raised beds - those pale yellow leaves on the upper right are floating. Yes, the bed just has a few edible weeds in it -- it was going to be soy beans and dry bush beans, but I didn't plant beans this year, because it was, and continues to be, too wet.
