End of Summer
YIKES!!!
The company I use for winter snow removal is ahead of schedule. I just received their invoice for the coming winter season. I think this is the earliest we have ever received it. The good news is that we got a credit for last year's fuel surcharge as well as a senior's discount.
And that is not all. This same company offers summer services. Check this out and I quote, "Working with your existing lawn, we'll rejuvenate the soil with our compost tea program." I'll have to find out more about this service.

Re: End of Summer
No need for snow removal here - thank goodness. Our extra expense is in the summer. The cost for our a/c for 110 degree days... it's KILLER! We run our swamp cooler all night and as long as it will work into the day, but it only really cools about 20-25 degrees so over 90 and we get uncomfortable and have to use the a/c for the late afternoon.
Starting to pull spent squash, plant new seedlings for the fall and winter and clean up my greenhouse in the early morning or late evening to avoid the intense heat. It's been nicer this week.
