Eagle Scout Project - Seeds Needed
I'm helping a young man with an Eagle Scout garden project for World Relief Anne Arundel. Would you care to help by donating seeds? They can already be open (we don't need full packs). Below are the preferred veggie varieties, but we would love ANY: snap peas, long beans, chilis, lettuces, cabbage, Brussels sprouts, long or small round eggplants, okra, onions, roselle, small-medium tomatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, celery, ginger, garlic or small eating pumpkins. PM me OR email me at sfgkimroman@yahoo.com for more info on where to send them. THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH FOR SHOWING SOME LOVE!
I have seen women looking at jewelry ads with a misty eye and one hand resting on the heart, and I only know what they're feeling because that's how I read the seed catalogs in January - Barbara Kingsolver - Animal, Vegetable, Miracle

I got the seeds today. Thank you SOOOOOO much.
I know they're supposed to be direct sown, but I'm still going to try starting some sunflowers.

Funny you say that. I got so sick of direct sowing BIRDFOOD and SQUIRREL FOOD into the ground only to have no sunflowers that I started 20 sunflower seeds inside this year--last weekend to be precise. Some of them are up, and they are under lights at the moment as it is like I need an Ark out there. Hopefully, my little transplants can outsmart the varmints and birds!
If the seeds are for feeding folks, sunflowers are a great choice! And birds like 'em too! And the other ones are great and hardy producers as well! Tell him good luck!

Is this still a need? I don't have many of those specific varieties, but I've got a lot of seeds I'd consider donating if he still needs it. As an Eagle Scout, I'd consider it my "good turn" for the day (see the Scout Slogan if that sounds weird).
