Bumping this since I haven't seen any answers....
And does anyone have experience with Hawaiian Pineapple tomato seeds?

And does anyone have experience with Hawaiian Pineapple tomato seeds?
I've ordered twice from Tomatofest, 32 varieties so far (including Hawaiian Pineapple), but the seeds are for future crops and I haven't planted them, yet. In addition to the varieties I've already purchased, I have another 2 dozen or so on my Tomatofest wishlist, which I will buy if/when they're offered at reduced price.
(Yeah, I'm kind of a tomato fanatic!)
I'm pleased with the customer service, so far. I made a mistake in the order I placed last week and immediately sent an email requesting they correct the error, if possible. The order shipped the day after I placed it, without a response to my email, so I don't know if they received the message. Haven't decided, yet, how I'll proceed if the changes weren't processed. I'll post an update if there are any problems...

Suz, Did it ever turn red? I saw this in Baker's Creek and remembered your post:countrynaturals wrote:This is a volunteer "tomato" that sprouted in a bed I created for Dutchman's Pipe (for the pipevine swallowtail butterflies). I transplanted it in the sfg, but as it grew, the leaves lost their distinctive tomato plant shape. This morning I found this strange-looking fruit hanging on it. What in the world do I have here? (The fruit is about 2" long.)
http://www.rareseeds.com/green-pear-tomato/ (which would match up with Turan's guess.)
A number of pear tomatoes are "potato leaf tomatoes":

Re: Tomato Tuesday 2016
Yes, it turned red, had lots of brothers and sisters, and they were all delicious. The plant is still alive in the greenhouse, with a couple of small tomatoes left. I will take seeds for next year. This one is a keeper.BeetlesPerSqFt wrote:Suz, Did it ever turn red? Re: Tomato Tuesday 2016
Thanks Ginger Blue! I'm very slowly going through the catalog I downloaded. I see all SORTS of interesting tomatoes.....
Unfortunately, I have to be a bit careful. DH doesn't like acid a whole lot. And I hate adding sugar while cooking!
I like the fact that this guy worked so much with the Tomato Fest and has such obvious passion about them.

Funny you should mention that! I love tomatoes, but a high acid content doesn't agree with me, so 99% of the tomatoes I ordered or are on my wishlist are sweet with low acid. The other 1% are rare finds or so interesting I simply couldn't pass 'em up.
I've been voraciously collecting tomato seeds for the last six months...it's become something of an obsession. I may never be able to use many of the seeds I'm buying, but I'm sure gonna try to get through 'em all!

Re: Tomato Tuesday 2016
If you'll pm me your email, I'll send you my spreadsheet. It's got all of my tomatoes listed. I'll send some seeds if you want.

Re: Tomato Tuesday 2016
I almost yanked that plant. Thanks to your advice, I just kept trimming off the dying leaves. You were right. It's now waking up and starting to bud again. A nearby cucumber is now climbing the bare branches. I love winter gardening in the house.sanderson wrote:CN, I think it's nap time for the tomatoes. If you keep the plant alive, it should wake up in a couple of months.

AtlantaMarie: "You're welcome. And LOL! I'll have you know I'm not OCD. I'm CDO. What's CDO, you ask? It's OCD in it's proper alphabetical order. "

Re: Tomato Tuesday 2016
LOL!
So... for those of you who have asked for & gotten the spreadsheet... How do you like it?
Any recommendations you can make to improve it would be greatly appreciated!
I may be trying to incorporate info from Teaming with Microbes & Teaming with Nutrients as I go along... (And Teaming with Fungi is on my birthday wish list, Jimmy Cee!)

Re: Tomato Tuesday 2016
I swear all of my in-house tomato plants grew a foot last night. If it ever stops raining I need to do some serious transplanting and staking.
