Birds Feeding in My Yard! Empty Birds Feeding in My Yard!

I just noticed around three dozen birds eagerly pecking in my front yard, with a few doing the same thing next door.

Are they seeking worms?  Other bugs?  Of note is that they're not paying much attention to my SFG.

Seeds maybe? Grass and weed seeds? Starlings will do that in flocks.

I can only hope it's weed seeds!  There hasn't been any grass seed sown recently, although cheat grass and the like are possibilities.
