Re: Virtual Flyover - Kauai
This one is for Kauairosina ... a flight around Kauai and through the Waimea Canyon in an Island Air Dash 8 aircraft. Enjoy.

BTW I hope people don't mind these flight sim posts on the SFG forum.

TD We wouldn't be egging you on if we minded. Probably better in senseless banter but whatever. The terrain for Kauai looked pea green and I can assure you that it is verdant green. It was difficult to spot buildings but fun to see. Thanks for the view.
I will look for some pictures of this beautiful island to send along. Unfortunately, traffic and too many people are making their inroads so it is not as pristine as it once was but over all we practice "aloha" on this island. It is remarkable to go to another island (say Maui or the Big Island) and cars don't stop to let you by as they do here - still. Makes me heart feel happy and I do it for others also.

Re: Virtual Flyover - Kauai
Nice to know the area where Rosina lives in Kauai.
I am enjoying them, TD, but as you mention them being on SFG may I make a suggestion?
Put them on separate topic of their own, then you can post as many as you like. Or perhaps post them on their respective regional threads. I like the idea of a separate thread myself as I have questions to ask, but later, perhaps.
ETA: Great minds think alike, Rosina.
More ETA: TD, you say that you have complete control of the plane? If so, can you please not point the plane in my direction as I look at the pictures. It reminds me of a 1952 Air show crash in England where the plane crashed in front of me and many people were killed. Fortunately for me, it was only the fuselage and the two engines went on sailing overhead and landed further on where the carnage was.

What fun TD. I wonder if you can fly over Lawai on Kauai.s
And what do others think about a separate topic for this intriguing subject?

Re: Virtual Flyover - Kauai
kauairosina ... I found some supposed photoreal scenery and did another flight. I'm not sure the colours are any better. It may be that my monitor needs colour calibration. Anyway here is the link to the slideshow. I've posted on this same thread to complete this story. If there is any interest I will create a new topic.

Re: Virtual Flyover - Kauai
Thanks Sanderson for moving the virtual flyovers. This is much better than where they were previously located and where I felt like they were interfering with the SFG discussions. Cheers.
