Hi from San Marcos, Ca
My name is John and I am a red worm farmer. I have
been a red worm farmer for over three years and I
like visiting forums about gardening that also include
comments about, yep, vermicomposting. Always trying
to learn and share information and just have a little
social tete a tete - is that how they say that?
Anyway, glad to be here and just saying - greetings!

Hi Sanderson
Absolutely. Getting a little sketchy now, though with the water restrictions.
I have a bunch of drip irrigation i am going to install but it's getting touchy.
Nice to meet you and great to be here.

Vermicomposter
btw, do you have a section for vermicomposters? I'm sure if you
do, i'll find it - but since you seem to be close by there in Fresno,
maybe you could direct me since you are the moderator.

Saw a little Vermicomposting
I saw a little about redworms and vermicomposting but not
much - well, i have my preferences set to receive replies,
we'll see what happens - goin' for now - have a great day,
everyone!

Hi John,
Welcome from Atlanta GA!
It's nice to know we have a couple of worm specialists around. I've just started my first worm bin, so it's reassuring to have experienced peeps around when questions come up about worm care.
The "Essential Readings" panel on the forum's homepage has a couple of great DIY Wriggler town ideas you'll want to see, too. They make it super easy for newbie gardeners (like me) to get started on improving our lots with worms.

Yes, we talk worms here. Several of us are quite knowledgeable but I consider our expert to be Llama momma. Josh is also very knowledgeable but he is not around much as he has grown up and has his career to pursue so does not have time now, but his posting are still there and very worth reading.
If you point your cursor in the Search Box located at the top left hand corner of this page and insert Worms you will find some very interesting threads with tons of good information.
IMO worms and castings are a very complimentary addition to Square Foot Gardening, which of course is the main focus of this forum.

Re: Hi from San Marcos, Ca
We LOVE wormies here :-) I have red wigglers in all of my raised beds and from their abundant population growth I have planted them from one end of my garden to another!
Welcome to the forum. I used to live up the hill from you in Valley Center and was born and raised in San Diego.
