Hey everyone,

Question... I have a large fish tank and I am always throwing out the used activated carbon from the filters. Today I was wondering if it would be OK/Good to add this to my compost pile? I don't think it has any beneficial nutrient elements, but it may add some aeration qualities when added to the garden, as the vermiculite does, as I add it when I plant?

Agree, yes.  That little amount shouldn't affect the pH either, like actual charcoal can.
