Watch out especially for composts with too much peat or wood in them.  They're the majority of what I find.
Theres a fantastic organic farm locally that sells a zoo brew and a barnyard cafe blend.  Ive bought both and used in all my beds.  Best compost Ive ever seen in my life!  So Ill be making a trip there sometime this week.  I had a bin full of compost done from my own pile that I threw in the boxes but its not near enough.

I love razed beds idea of growing out of compost bags for the rest of this year.  We did discuss for sure refilling our perennial beds so they survive.  One 4x8 is strictly strawberries and another 4x8 is our herb/ garlic bed.  We're talking about raising all the sides of the beds to 12" since our 12" beds fared well and leaving the soil level at 6".  Also, anchoring the beds since one started to float away.

TT are a great idea, but that would be a lot of work!
If you and yours are able to do it & afford it why not use the reinforced concrete or recycled plastic"  H "  section  fence posts 8 foot long . cut in half and drop the 12 inch wide concrete slide in panels in so that your the beds are a good 36 inches to the edge of the top panels . Set the posts accurately in quick set concrete filled holes
You need two posts 4 foot long to make each corner .     Where I used to live  I used three stainless steel screws ..one at each joint level to keep the recycled plastic posts together above the ground in hot weather.

The bottom of each " bed "  was filled with coarse sand and gravel to about 2 feet deep them my purchased for the job quality weed free mother earth went on top of that .

R&R.....I'm truly sorry you had to go thru this.  Its terrible to lose one's garden.
I think you've had good advice already.  Compost is a wonderful resource for gardeners and since you have a good and reliable place to get really good compost, start anew with that.   Good luck.
