Hi from AZ.

I retired from the Army.  Several years ago, I was a master gardener in NV - then the army called me out of retirement, sent me to Iraq and some other assignments to include Afghanistan.  I have now returned to one of my passions -  gardening - and am currently teaching a horticulture class for a middle school in Tucson.  Currently, I am incorporating both square foot gardening techniques with straw bale gardening to see if the two really mesh well.

Welcome to the forum JonWatt.  I am only on my third year of gardening, so I'm sure there is much you could teach me!  I think you will find that folks here are very helpful.  It's safe to say that we're passionate about our gardens.

Again, welcome and I wish you much gardening success!

I'm too new here to say welcome, but I'm glad to see another Arizona gardener!  I'm in Kingman, 100 miles south of Las Vegas.

Thank you for your service!
