the book the blue zone states that not only is nutrition important to longevity but socializing with people who have similar traits and beliefs is equally important as is having a purpose and having a source of relaxation.
square foot gardening could be an all around answer for making a blue zone. gardening is great low impact exercise with an obvious goal of better nutrition. if you have neighbor friends that also garden this way and you can get together and socialize then you also share a same purpose. most of all when i feel the soil in my hands and feet all stress disappears. i can be full of compost and it does not matter.
