January 2015 in Western Mountains & High Plains
It seems fitting that with the new year comes the chore of pulling together notes and ideas to make plans for this years garden.
Any one got plans to share?
I was wondering if any one starts there onions this early. Or peppers if they intend to prune them?
My garden is deep in snow so this is the dreaming/planning season.

Here is my garden plan. Who knows how it will have changed by time it is planted out.

Very nice, Turan. Is the lower right the greenhouse?
Re: January 2015 in Western Mountains & High Plains
Thanks, Sanderson. Yup, the lower right is the greenhouse. Where the other peppers are is a tall cold frame. And there is a box/remains of a cold frame where the potatoes are. I am thinking I can deep mulch in that.
North is the left edge. The plum bush does not hinder the winter squash on the south. Actually they cover it.

Excellent, Turan! You make me wish for more space!
garden plans
Donna, have you started your garden plan yet? Or are you a follow the flow as you plant? I used to be the latter, ok, i still am really, but I love playing in my imaginary garden in January.

Seeds ordered from Johhny's and Territorial. I know there is stuff i missed and I will get that from Fisher's seed just down the road from me. Basil, I forgot the basil.
New to me was the yello snow pea with purple flowers. I needed a tall snow pea and this was all I found and it sounds interesting. But I worry a bit about it being found in a market in India, that does not sound snow hardy....
