In the New SFG book, Mel says to use an "Open Mesh Wire Cage" to support peppers. I am not sure what he means by this. Is he talking about the round wire cages that are used to support tomatoes? Somehow those don't seem like Mesh to me and they are bigger then 1 SF. Does anyone know what he means?

I would think he means wire cylinders with a large enough mesh to get your hand through. I have used tomato cages but put an extra couple of wires around the bottom. This year, I put in three bamboo stakes at each plant and will string around them when the peppers are larger.
