I found this site while I was reading my pins on gardening. My name is Linda and I live about 45 miles SE of Seattle in Puyallup with my husband Scott. Years ago I did "postage stamp gardening" and then began doing a lot of container vegetable gardening. I helped form a new community garden at our church a couple of years ago ( a third of the garden is planted for the food bank) and this is my second year with a 4x8 raised bed that I am doing SFG with. I am the only one doing a true SFG bed. Last year I harvested a ton of crook neck squash and cucumbers that I used an opened 3 sided tomato cage as for a trellis. I had beans and peas, my peppers never got very big. Beets did great., Carrots and radishes not so much. Lettuces did very well. I have the last row (south) planted with marigolds and alyssum to draw bees.

This year I have all cucumbers for the trellis, beans, peas, beets, radishes and cucumbers, and 4 different types of peppers. I am going to pick the jalapeno tomorrow! First harvest.  I did have these as starts and I have a "growhouse" at home.

At home I have tons of tomatoes in containers, having my first 2 grafted ones this year. I am trying out potatoes in grow bags. I have harvested all of our spinach and replanted starts again. The lettuce won't last much longer either but I have replacements in for that too. I have zucchini and summer squash on the west side of the house in the flower bed by the foundation (they love the heat there). Oh, and acorns, peas, cucumbers, and beets. I got one of those new grow boxes that is about 2ftx2ft. and is like a mini SFG. I did half spinach and half beets. Yesterday I harvested a ton of little baby beets and am hoping the ones I have left will get bigger. It was the first time I have tried beet starts and I forgot about thinning them out (I wasn't even sure they would make it). I want to do my own dill, but not for a couple of weeks. I have herbs too, basil, Italian parsley oregano and thyme. I have cilantro starts just about ready to put out. This year we are trying out strawberries in a couple of coco basket pots.

Hello and  welcome  to the SFG forum. I am impressed. even in   golly gee whiz awe,  of your gardening so far; I'm way behind on my to-do list this year.
I look forward to seeing your pictures as the season progresses.
