Newbie to SFG from Colorado!! =)
Hi folks, I've been row/intensive gardening for about 3 years, but am new to SFG. I am so excited to learn all there is and welcome any advice you can spare to this newbie. Bring on the summer .

Re: Newbie to SFG from Colorado!! =)
V-, Welcome to the SFG Forum! first thing to do is get a copy of All New Square Foot Gardening, 1st or 2nd Edition, by Mel Bartholomew. Read it, make notes, and follow the directions. Folks who cut corners making the Mel's Mix often spend the rest of the season trying to make up for the deficiencies. Use our Search box (upper left), and ask questions. And please post photos. We love photos. Oh, and takes looks of pictures and start a written journal.
Welcome!
Whereabouts in Colorado? I'm new to SFG as well and live in Loveland.

From one newbie to another
Welcome, welcome! Besides the book, there is a wealth of information in the forum archives! I have spent hours, and hours searching and reading the forum topics. I've had to pry myself away. I purchased the book at the end of February and it looks like I have had it for a year! I've read it and re-read it to make sure that I get this right.
Everyone on the forum has been very pleasant and helpful. You will enjoy it here.
Now, I'm off to read more about detering cats
