My Bloomin' Indoor Sage
I transplanted my outdoor sage plant into a pot and moved it indoors after a mild frost or two.
Now, it's decided to bloom--while sitting on a windowsill!
Should I let it go to seed and regrow? Or would it be better to pinch off the blossoms and hope for new growth on the existing plant?

Re: My Bloomin' Indoor Sage
I think it depends on if you need seeds or not. In my neck of the woods, sage is a perennial so I don't need seeds. But I love the flowers so I let it bloom. Don't know if pinching sage works like basil or not.

Re: My Bloomin' Indoor Sage
CC,
I did pinch the sage plant back, first at Thanksgiving, then at Christmas. Blooming seems to be the result!
I don't know whether sage is hardy here in Central Oregon, which is why I brought it inside.

Re: My Bloomin' Indoor Sage
My sage comes back in Massachusetts, zone 6a. I don't remember if all the varieties come back - I know the common sage does.
