Hello from N.J.
Hello. This is my first year doing square foot gardening. Last year was my first summer in my new house and I tried traditional gardening. I knew after that epic failure that I wasn't going to repeat that mistake again. I stumbled upon square foot gardening and was instantly hooked. I've built and filled two 6 inch 4x4 boxes and one 10 inch 4x4 box with a trellis. I just assembled a third 4x4 box and two 12 inch 1x1 individual containers. Pictures to come! Now I'm at the point where I'm about to start evaluating choices for the area around my boxes. I'm glad to be here! That's about it for me.

Hi Kelly,
Welcome to SFG and the Forum - always glad to have enthusiastic new gardeners. And, yes, please do post some pics when you can. We love to see what others are doing.
Best of luck!

Re: Hello from N.J.
Hi, Kelly! DH and I are originally from NJ (him from South Orange, me from Colonia), although I've lived in SC for 30 years. I have fond memories of the extreme clay soil in my hometown, and wish we would have discovered square foot gardening back then, LOL! I miss the lilacs and lily-of-the-valley that grew bountifully in our yard (it's too hot for them here). Welcome, and I look forward to seeing your photos.
