...Walk up just before a storm to bring a wheelbarrel of dirt (Mels mix) into the garage to protect it... Then notice its hailing and go grab an umbrella to protect the pumpkins that you just planted about 10 hours previous and stand guard over them.

Only a gardener would come across a ladybug while on a walk, pick it up and walk it almost 2 blocks back home (recatching it twice after it attempted to fly off), drop it off in the garden and give it a name.
I did that this weekend, lol. My 3 year old named the ladybug Francis after the Bug's Life movie character:

I think we are a great crowd here on this forum. I pick up worms are rain before they get dried up by the sun. So far I have not seen slugs as I really think I would draw the line at them.
Only a gardener..
Yeah, I rescue worms from the rain drenched streets too. Viva les gardiners!!

Today I found a little wood frog in the lawn. SO CUTE! I put it back at the edge of the property where there are tall weeds - and no dangerous lawn mowers nor tromping feet!
I also let a spider keep using my Rubbermaid step as a web anchor until the wind today knocked down the web.
