Green Beans Aren't Doing Well
I don't know what I am doing wrong but my greenbeans are not turning out very well. I have started watering twice a day now because the leaves are yellowish and the beans are not producing very well. One end of the bean is usually really big and the other end small. It's been hot here the past few days but really we are having a mild summer. Any ideas!!!!!

I had a nitrogen deficiency last year and my beans grew like that too (one end big, one small) and lots of them curled too.

My beans were slow going and a bit yellow as well this season. Like mentioned in another thread, I was always under the impression that beans pulled needed nitrogen from the air. The appearance of my beans however said different. I watered with a bit of fish emulsion and that seemed to get them over the hump, and now they look fantastic. You seem to be further along in your growing season. I'm almost wondering if perhaps you may be over watering to compensate for another issue.
I am my gardens worst enemy.

Sounds like lack of Nitrogen might be the problem. I am getting ready to pull up my plants. I have more beans to do a second planting so I may see if I can get better results.

Now, one thing that could be a culprit here is if you are using new MM you may not have the microbes needed by the bean plant to fix the nitrogen. You may need an inoculant in future.
