Found this on my tomato plant
Hi everyone...
I found this on one of my tomatoes this morning while suckering. I've checked the local university's webpage with information on local pests, but couldn't find anything.
I'm going to take a guess that this is either someones eggs or poo... but would really like to destroy the eggs if they belong to someone I do not want in my garden.
Thanks for any help.

POO OR EGGS????
Looks kinda gross, LOL. Guess I'm a city boy, ha, ha. Not sure what could poo in such a nice tidy line, except probably a friend of mine or co-worker. Anyway, better be safe than sorry. I'd just remove it and throw it in the trash, since it's probably not something that would add to the health and well being of your tomatoes.

Don't know about the poo, but I do see small blackish spots on your leaves. Is this some type of disease.

Re: Found this on my tomato plant
Found the same thing on my trellis and tomato plant today.Does it have anything to do with horn worms as I also found droppings on the plant?

Will someone please take a specimen to the extension service for ID and let us know what it is.
I found a source that says maybe katydid eggs.

Re: Found this on my tomato plant
I know exactly what those are - the eggs of the leaf footed bug. just take a stick and scrape them off before they hatch!! Those nastys ruin my apricot fruit every year. If you see a group of small red bugs together then you have found a recently hatched group.

Re: Found this on my tomato plant
Houstonmom I had a bunch of gnats in my house and found that my vacuum works great to get them when they are flying and I can even get close to my plants with it. I would take out my full size vacuum out to my garden to get those buggars! It would be no different than a yard vacuum.

No ideas sorry I just swat them away. For the babies I just chop off whatever leaf they are in and throw it away.
