Apparently, my compost wasn't completely composted. I just found 2 stalks of celery growing in my empty box of MM! My compost was a mix of a zoo brew & barnyard mix. It was pretty clumpy when I was mixing it in my MM and I didn't strain it. Assuming it was a zoo or barn animals previous meal, I wont be keeping it. Just too funny not to share.

The carrots, onions, peas, lettuce, and spinach I planted outdoors are all sprouting & growing though. I think in the future if I have to use their compost again I'll strain it.

Volunteer celery? Hehehe, I'd grow it just for kicks (transplanted somewhere appropriate of course) to see what I'd get!

Of course, I've also been finding random interesting seeds outside and putting them in my starting tray, just for giggles.

After some research, pretty sure three of them are olives...not gonna keep those (there's a ban on them in Las Vegas!)...

Im thinking of moving the celery just outside the garden fence for the critters. I dont like to waste things if I dont have to. Olives would be cool to grow. I'll have to google about the ban in LV, I cant imagine why?

We have air quality issues due to pollen. Olive pollinates heavily. Plus, black fruit staining EVERYTHING.

We have all the same issues from mulberry trees, but for some reason we still like them.

Its not celery! Its monster weeds that not only went through cardboard, but weed cloth as well. It didnt take long either. I just built this bed maybe 2-3 weeks ago? Im going to try to "patch" where its come through since nothing is planted yet. I dont know what else to do. I should probably dig up the sod before I build my next bed, huh? Sad
