How horrible for him!
Has he had a recent tetanus shot? I hope he heals quickly and well.

YIKES! Man.... that had to hurt.
I always have a fear of that when using my nail guns.
Hope he will be okay with no loss of use.

OMG, I had to get off that picture real quick! I am not squeamish on much but that really gets me! I hope that doesn't take too long to recover from!

Two thumb nails on one thumb OUCH !
Please tell him to get well soon and finish the coop ...
PS We didn't feel a thing .
My wife was sympathetic like that when I wellied my thumb on my left hand with a three pound lump hammer & the thumb between a 4 inch wide cold steel brick chisel and shredded the end a wee bit .

Ouch. Looks a lot worse than the two times I put a sewing machine needle thru my thumb. That hurt bad enough.
Hope he has a quick recovery.

It reminds me of a carpenter that I used to work with. He put a screw in to his thumb. So what did he do? Put the drill in reverse and backed it out. And I'm not sure if it's because of the man:woman ratio for building stuff with power tools, but it does seem to be a guy thing(been there, done that myself and have the scars to prove it!...one reason I don't use my brad nailer anymore ).

Re: Hubby had a little accident working on the chicken coop.
Yes Rooster it was his first time! Plantoid you crack me up! All he could say was 20 (explicit) years of running a nail gun, I can't believe it.
It was kinda funny though because I had a friend (who is a nurse) over when he was working on it and we were inside cooking and we made a joke about him shooting himself with a nail and I said "At least there's a nurse here!" Five seconds later he walks in the door and my friend thought it was a joke. He asked her to pull it out and she refused! I took him to the emergency room and they cut the head off and pulled it the rest of the way out! All is well no bones or tendons! He took this picture himself on the way to the ER. And I gave him my hand to squeeze when the pulled it out (I was the only one squeezing ) He was pretty tough.
Needless to say I will hear about the darn chickens for a long time!

Oh that is an amazing story about him nailing his thumb right when you were probably saying at least a nurse is here! What a tough guy!

He was just thankful he didn't nail it to the 2x4, he didn't want us to have to cut him off the board!
