There has been some activity this last night and morning in the NE thread with some news... No word yet from Cape Coddess.

We had 19 plus inches of the white stuff, but very light. That weight helped keep the power outages down to a minimum. We didn't lose ours tho over 100 thousand did in Maine.
My gardens are buried. In my flower beds the snow was so deep it toppled over on the birdbath seen below.
A friend living on the Cape said there are still many without power but hope to hear from CapeCoddess soon.

I just got an email from my Cape Cod friend and she said several are still without power and won't get it back til Wed so we may be waiting a bit longer to see Cape Coddess. Many have moved into motels for the duration.

Here in Central NJ we got about 8 inches of snow.
Apparently the snow starting coming down Fri. am and continued until Sat. am.
I work at an Elementary school and we had an early dismissal even though there wasn't much accumulation but had a mixture of snow, rain and sleet at various times until late afternoon.
Thank goodness we invested in a snow blower when our youngest went to college!
All of my garlic beds are covered with snow and I am still planning my gardens for this year - can't wait....

I'm back! *whew* What an experience...and it was only 2 days and 3 nites. I posted more about it with photos in the New England thread.
Glad everyone is safe and sound. Thanks for thinking of me, all. I'm sure that's what helped to keep me warm... ...with the help of a huge down quilt.
