SFG's Any in England?
I am totally new to this. Haven't built my bed yet. Is there anyone out there doing SFG in England, coz i can't find any local ppl
would be nice to compare notes from someone who is experiencing the same kind of weather as me

Welcome to the forum. If you scroll down the index page, you'll find 'regional forums'. One is for Europe, and is hosted by plantoid who is in England also. Look for his posts; he's forgotten more about gardening than most of us will ever know. He will be a good source to help you find materials to get started. Enjoy!

It wasn't that I wanted to save a few pounds on not buying Peat, it was more of a conservation issue, I don't like the idea of destroying the peat bogs.

There's a lot of misinformation about peat. Some of it is a renewable resource farmed like a crop.
I don't want to encourage you one way or another as to it's use, but only to become more informed.
You can use the search function to the left to find threads about peat moss on the forum.
Here is one that showed up near the top
