Order of peas and cukes

So. I have an "L" shaped trellis. If you were looking at my box (sorry actual no pics yet, hubby has the camera today) the short side of the "L" (2 squares)is on the upper right and the long leg on the right side(4 squares).



As you can see i plan on planting cukes and peas over there with beans nearby. This is my first year with peas, after peas are exhausted (IDK how long that usually takes!)

1. can I plant a succession of cukes or beans (I know the debate on beans/peas lets not rehash that )so I will have approx 4 or 5 boxes of cukes post pea? or would it be too late in the season (I'll repost in my region also)? I'm thinking it should be ok because cukes love the heat more than peas?

2. OR should I use a "Teepee" or real trellis for my peas? should I reserve the actual trellis for my (I have a wood on in the corner and soft nylon on the long side) cukes and use the nylon one of "Teepee" for the peas?

Sorry for the bombardment of ?? and rambling. Just new to the pea growing family.

I'm not 100% sure exactly what you're talking about(! ), but I'll throw this out here for ya. I share a trellis between peas and cukes, one on each side. I plant my first batch of peas in late Feb.; the cukes about 2 months later. The peas are dying out as the cukes start to climb.

I haven't tried starting cuke seeds in the same square as peas. Peas don't cling to trellises nearly as well as beans, be prepared to give them some trellising assistance along the way.

Im just wondering if I would have enough "time" persay to plant cukes after the peas are exhausted, so I can have a second harvest of cukes, or am I tempting fate? I'm going to be planting them today, and I think the peas are 70 or so days to harvest (which would make that around end of june for probably what 2-3 weeks?).

BUT I think i already have it figured out, would have been so much easier if I had my book

Ill plant as in the diagram and start the cuke seedlings a week or two earlier in pots and transplant them so they have a head start, transplant them when the peas are done, then another staggard planting straight from seed two weeks later. First frost is usually late sept.

Does that makes sense?
