I'm trying Acorn Squash for the first time and allotted a square and a half for its growth. It looks great and healthy and starting to flower BUT I did not expect it to start going horizontal. thinking

It is still young, so I'm not entirely sure if it will start growing up or continue going full-on vine.

Anyone have experience growing Acorn Squash? How does it grow? I could try and train it into another area of the garden but it will be difficult due to where it's placed. Should I have trellised it?

Thanks for any info/advice.

Here is some info about Acorn Squash. It can grow vines upward of 9 feet. Shocked Very Happy
