Second year - do I start over with soil or use old stuff?

I had my first SFG last summer. When the season ended, I sadly just kind of let all the dead plants stay there until I pulled them all out last weekend. To start this year, do I dump out all the mix from last year and start over with a new batch of Mel's Mix, or do I maybe just add some more Mel's Mix and blend it all together? Thanks for the help, and happy growing!

One of the great things is that the mix is designed to be reused. Just mix some new compost in there to replace the nutrients used before.
