Yesterday while I was at work some storms rolled thru our area. Naturally when I got home my eyes went directly to my garden. The first thing I saw was a basil plant laying down on the ground. other plants were laying over I guess due to some wind but not any real damage to the garden. So I went into the house.

Later I came back outside and that is when I noticed that a big leafy branch had fallen on the roof of the garage. It was at least 10 feet long and lots of green leaves or in other words not at all difficult to notice. You might have a problem with gardening when you don't notice 1/4 of a tree on the roof because you were so focused on your vegetables.

Anyone else have a story about how their garden occupies a bit too much of their attention?

My 1 1/2 year old got away from me while we were working in the garden climbed up the slide and went down head first. 2 stitches above his lip, poor baby.

oh....we have a few Embarassed

last year we sowed our sugar snap peas a little to thick....they out grew the 5ft trellis that we put up for them.....one night we had really bad high winds that woke me up in the middle of the night weee early morning hour......poor hubby had to go out in the high winds and rain and put up a 8 ft trellis so that we didnt loose our sugar snap peas.....What a Face

this year the first day we put out our baby seedlings to harden off....we forgot them out side....i woke up at 3am from a dead sleep saying

*oh no our babies!*.....hubby to the rescue again tongue

glad to hear your plants were ok.....hope your roof is too!
