Planting potatoes - which way up?
I know it is somewhere on the board, but I have spent some time searching and I still cannot find which way up to plant my seed potatoes and I am already to go out and plant them in the ground.
All the sprouts are bunched at one end; are they the roots or the shoots?
I thought I knew it all by know, but perhaps I am having a senior moment.

Thank you, Kim. The tubers are already in their holes, just waiting for me to cover them up. I guessed right, but I would hate to have filled them and found they were upsidedown..
Now, I will just have my coffee and go out and cover them up. Sixteen Yukon Gold and another sixteen of something else; both medium growers. I wanted some earlies, that will teach me to get my seed pots earlier rather than procrstinate.
Every square (80) in my SFGs is now filled, and I now have to do some HOUSEWORK.

If you follow a site called "Flylady" you will know that she calls it "blessing one's home" and that one does not have to be perfect and that a swipe is better than nothing at all. She has changed my attitude to housework completely.
Now I am off to do a swipe, as it is raining with a forecast today of 10 - 20 mm and tomorrow, 15 - 20 mm. A good chance to use my new (free) rain gauge the I got from B.C. Hydro on Saturday.

+1! "Hit a lick at a snake!" My house is by no means perfect, but I have to say it is the best it has ever been and I definitely do the "15 minutes" in my SFG's as well. I built my boxes and my trellises 15 minutes at a time. I am rebuilding my herb bed, 15 minutes at a time. I even wear one of my timers on my jeans pocket when I am in the garden!

Now that would not have anything to do with those "smart meters" would it, seems that is all that I hear about BC hydro these days. How do you follow the flylady.
I was thinking I might do my housework in the fall, or something like that
