Lifetime boxes? plastic safety concern?
Hi everyone, I am trying to find a good 4x4 box that is a little deeper than 6 inches (I will be gardening with my little kids and want to have some room so the mix doesn't end up on the grass =)
I found a Lifetime brand raised garden bed (I can't post the link because I'm new). It's made of "Protected High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE)" I'm wondering if there is a concern of leaching chemicals? I want to have an organic garden.
Thanks in advance for your reply.

Re: Lifetime boxes? plastic safety concern?
PLASTICS - here's a good resource regarding plastics.
HDPE is on the "good" list.
I see a Lifetime bed that's 9" tall so I think that's what you're talking about. There are also plastic boxes with tongue & groove boards where you can stack one atop another.
BTW Hi and welcome to the Forum.

BTW Hi and welcome to the Forum.
I have seen women looking at jewelry ads with a misty eye and one hand resting on the heart, and I only know what they're feeling because that's how I read the seed catalogs in January - Barbara Kingsolver - Animal, Vegetable, Miracle
