Hello, I have my square foot garden set up and I have built a frame around it, I was just wondering what the experts here would suggest for a cover, The 2 options I'm looking at are 1) White Poly Tarp, the package reads clear, but it is white in color.
2) Vapor Barrier extra strong, clear color.

Of the 2 I thought the poly tarp would hold up better over the winter months here in Canada. I also see most stores selling plants around here have a white tarp of some kind over the frame. But I'm open to any input here.

Thanks in advance, Scott

Ooooh. I don't know a thing about greenhouses except I wish I had an all season one. All I've got is a little pop up thing, but it was a big help with seedling this spring.

Whatever material you decide on, make sure it is UV protected for outside use. The ones that are not UV protected won't even last for 1 season. Wish I could build 1 down here!

Hi Triscooter
I have a few hoop houses and what I used is 6ml poly plastic.
You can usually get it at the larger gardening stores.

I think if you want the sun to come through you need something that is more clear.

I have used other things when all I wanted was a cover for the night times, and I think a tarp or anything would work there, but for something to use on colder days, I would suggest 6 ml poly.
comes usually in bulk.

Do you have a picture of your SFG? Very Happy
